A relatively simple crossbow fibula with a four-sided bow with slightly flattened globular end pieces on the cross bar. It also has diamond-form decorations in relief.

Roman fibulae can be found with a great variety of forms and decorations, which demonstrates the importance that this type of object had for personal decoration. In the Roman Empire the fibula was both functional and ornamental and was used by both men and women to fasten their capes and peplos. Other garment fasteners had a similar function, fastening heavier garments like cloaks.
